| A Plumber’s Mate assists qualified plumbers with installing, maintaining, and repairing water, heating, and drainage systems. They perform tasks like preparing tools, materials, and the work area, while also learning the trade by observing and assisting the plumber. | |
| Duties/Responsibilities | |
| Assisting Plumbers: Providing support to plumbers on plumbing projects, including installations, repairs, and maintenance of systems. Preparing the Work Area: Ensuring the job site is safe, organized, and ready for the plumber’s work. Managing Tools and Materials: Preparing, organizing, and retrieving tools and materials needed for the plumbing tasks. Following Instructions: Adhering to instructions given by the plumber and following safety protocols. Learning the Trade: Gaining hands-on experience and knowledge of plumbing techniques and practices by working alongside a qualified plumber. May involve: Diagnosing faults and small plumbing installations, inspecting and cleaning water tanks, and assisting with general plumbing repairs and maintenance | |
