Summary of Work Start Scheme Placement Opportunity
Under the instruction/guidance of senior staff: provide general administrative and financial support to the department/service  
Duties/Responsibilities
Provide routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, completing routine forms; Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems, following instruction, as deemed appropriate to level, experience and client database task grading; Undertake copy-typing and word-processing of routine documents and other IT based tasks under supervision; Sort and distribute mail; Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required; Assist in maintaining the office stationery supplies and keeping the stock room tidy; Organise meetings (including booking rooms, making travel / accommodation arrangements etc.) and take meeting notes as required; Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required; Provide cover for colleagues on comparable grade during periods of absences due to holidays, sickness and other unforeseen events; Undertake other relevant duties as agreed by Line Manager.  
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities
General clerical/administrative work Induction/basic skills Good numeracy/literacy skills Good understanding and ability to use relevant technology e.g. photocopier Keyboard/computer skills Participate in development and training opportunities Work constructively as part of a team, understanding roles and responsibilities and your own position within these. Ensure confidentiality, tact and diplomacy are maintained as appropriate
