| Summary of Work Start Scheme Placement Opportunity |
| Placement with the Street Cleansing team in South Denbighshire. During this placement, you will support the team with public realm, including: Litter picking. Emptying public litter bins. Road sweeping. Public parks. Grass/verge cutting. Gully emptying as part of a team. Basic Highways Maintenance – such as repairing of potholes |
| Duties/Responsibilities |
| This Placement will provide the opportunity for the candidate to: Obtain insight into public realm Work alongside fully qualified staff on day-to-day tasks. Follow instructions to assist with litter picking, channel sweeping, emptying public Litter bins, ground maintenance activities. Develop and extend skills and abilities. Adhere to Health & Safety requirements. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities |
| UK Full driving licence Basic understanding of literacy and numeracy. Able to physically undertake tasks e.g. lifting heavy objects (with appropriate training) of a practical nature on a reasonably continuous basis. Basic relevant Health & Safety awareness. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and with exposure to other disagreeable conditions e.g. dirt, noise References are available at the end of the Placement |
